Skate Fish

I explain my process in creating this in my digital art section of this website. However, I didn’t explain why, recently I decided to start sharing and putting my art out there publicly and collaborated with a few friends who make music. Skate fish was for my friend ‘s music promotion video.

Octopus takeover

I was inspired by the amount of litter produced in my local river. My current walk to college is directly along it and each day it would amaze me what was caught up in the sides of the river. One day I walked passed some people fly fishing, throwing a magnet into water and pulling out metal objects, this truly triggered the initial process of this ongoing project. I began to imagine how those objects got there, and how unnatural some of it was, such as shopping trolly’s and rusted bike carcasses. I imagined this octopus creature grabbing and pulling things down into the river. Eventually I created the initial phases of the animation using Procreate Dreams. It may be unfinished, but I have a lot of plans for the rest of the video. Backing music by King Krule
